If you’re reading this, likelihood is you’re a nice person. You want to help people.
Of course, you know what I’m going to say.
Some people don’t want to be helped or to help themselves.
No, most would rather suffer through the familiarity of their thinking and behaviour than live happier lives.
From such people (and it is most to be honest!), turn away.
You can’t help them. They don’t want it.
I think of my ex-boyfriend. He even started going to therapy only to ignore the issues that he relentlessly talked about with me without any desire to let go or find solutions.
Instead of ‘nice’, be just.
If people want to be open and have real discussion and intimacy, great!
If they don’t, know when to leave.
