Don’t you notice people sleepwalking their way through life?
On their phones, heads down, almost like they’re apologising for themselves, looking for meaning?
To be successful, you’ve got to be conscious – to understand how things really work.
When I’ve had a few days of not writing this blog (in this case it’s been nigh on a week! I am sorry.), it’s because I’ve allowed stuff to get on top of me, when I feel like I’m useless and have nothing to offer and I spiral. I was going to say I spiral a bit but actually it’s a lot when it happens.
It’s said that despair is the last refuge of the ego and it’s definitely true.
It’s also said that humility is the path to righteousness and while I agree to a certain extent, part of my problem (and perhaps yours), is that I’ve been too humble and too easily walked over.
It takes confidence to recognise the patterns that both work and don’t work for you. This goes for relationships, for health, for work, everything. Confidence, translated from the latin, means with faith. Sometimes, you have to step forward not knowing exactly how things are going to turn out.
You can never know exactly where you will end up but when the same problems keep arising you know it’s time to do something, to be honest frankly and start making better decisions for yourself.
Most will not admit where they are going wrong, you have the choice to make your life better, to point out falsehoods and injustices.
Here endeth the lesson.
