Lessons Learnt

So few really go deep.

It’s scary in the bowels of your mind. You might rake up heartaches, regrets, fears, injuries. Mothers tell their children there are no monsters under the bed when you go to sleep.

Yeah, that’s right!

They also tell you not to go over and talk to strangers because they might take advantage of you.

Consistent, huh!

It’s hard to be laser-focused in this world. Everything has become so amorphous, so indistinct – because next to no-one draws boundaries.

In order to live a successful life, you must examine your past behaviour, the reasons why you allowed things to happen and keep what serves you and ditch what harms you.

Instincts will often give you clues but, if you need help, you go get it. It’s okay to ask for help.

Paraphrasing Jordan Peterson, the reason for memory is not primarily to remember/recall what’s happened to you, it’s to make sure you don’t repeat the mistakes of your past.

Go forth and grow up!
